Burlesque Noir’s Joy Coy will be showcased in the Free Range Burlesque event at the 2nd Annual Southern Fried Burlesque Fest in Atlanta, GA
Joy Coy is a burlesque performer, performance artist, and amateur journalist based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is classically trained in the styles of ballet, jazz, modern, and lyrical-jazz. Joy is also a member of Albuquerque’s sensational neo-burlesque troupe, Burlesque Noir.
Fairly new to the burlesque scene, Joy began performing in the backyard of her former party-house/commune in October, 2010. Once introduced to the greater world of shimmies and shakes, through Burlesque Noir, she developed a profound love for the art that she had never felt before and hasn’t left the stage since
