Your Instructor
Cookie Fortune got her start in burlesque 8 years ago. What was meant to be a one time performance immediately got her hooked. Her style is quirky, humorous and always full of surprises. With the help of a dear friend she started teaching classes in 2007.

Beginning Burlesque $30.00
Don’t just take your clothes off — learn how to artfully remove those delicate items that have become characteristic of classic Burlesque routines! Cookie will teach you to move your body in seductive and flattering ways appropriate for all body types. You will also experiment with props such as feather boas, umbrellas, gloves and stockings. You will strut away with the basics of creating your own fabulous routine.
Burlesque movement $30.00
Learn the fabulous moves that make burlesque so alluring. You will explore shimming, the classic grind and learn how to get from point A to point B with style!
Bedroom Burlesque $30.00 (Taught on demand)
This class is designed for those who want to perform behind closed doors. Cookie will help explore what you have in your home to create a knock-your-socks-off routine!
Advanced Burlesque

All classes end with a twirling lesson and include a set of glamorous pasties handmade by Cookie herself!
What to expect
There will be lots of moment, so please dress in comfortable clothing. Preferably two pieces like pants and shirt. At the end of all classes there will be a spinning demo and a chance for in class practice. The best way to learn spinning is to go down to pasties. So please wear a shirt that is easily removed. That being said, don’t feel that you have to. You may learn spinning with pasties applied over the top of your clothing.
What to Bring
Please bring water, a button up shirt or jacket, a bra with hook & eye closures and high heels if you have them.
HOW TO SIGN UP
Send an email to pickyourpoisonarts@yahoo.com with “Burlesque Class” in the subject line. Please include your full name, phone number and date of class you are interested in. You will then be sent and invoice with a link for payment. Once your payment is received you will be officially signed up for the class and sent a confirmation email.
All class reservations require payment in advance. Any cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance of classes. If you do not cancel 24 hours in advance, you will not receive a refund. Thanks for your cooperation.
